AHBA is a non-profit membership organization serving agricultural employers in Napa, Sonoma and surrounding counties.

Ag Health Benefits Alliance (AHBA) has been providing affordable health insurance and other benefits to agricultural employees in Northern California since its founding as the California Winegrower Foundation in 1972. Started by a group of forward-thinking winegrape growers who shared a common goal of improving working conditions, AHBA is a non-profit member organization that supports both employers and employees. It relieves employers of burdensome compliance and administration chores and empowers them to attract and retain a healthy, productive workforce. 

For employees, having health insurance fosters well-being and financial peace of mind, while a friendly and accessible bilingual staff helps them understand and fully utilize their benefits. AHBA’s members were dedicated to providing health benefits for employees, including seasonal workers, long before it was required by law.

  • Becky oversees all aspects of member services and benefits administration for the organization. She reports directly to the Board of Directors and works closely with employers to help design their employee benefit programs.

    Becky holds several employee benefits accreditations and is appointed to represent insurance carriers throughout California. Becky is President of AHBA’s Educational Foundation and is on the board of the Agricultural Personnel Management Association (APMA), Connolly Ranch Educational Center, and Providence Community Healthcare Foundation of Napa Valley.

Abigail Bedolla

  • Abigail is our bilingual Lead Eligibility and Benefits Specialist. She processes health benefits enrollments which include all employee/dependent adds, terms, and changes. Abigail assists employers with cost-sharing agreements and complex eligibility-related questions. She also provides eligibility coverage verification letters to members, coordinates the distribution of ID cards, and all required healthcare plan documents.

Gisella Carapia

  • As a Benefits Specialist, Gisella utilizes her bilingual skills to assist members by providing benefit and coverage information, researching claim inquiries, generating provider network listings, and offering guidance on cost-saving health plan features. During open enrollment, she actively participates in presentations, delivering detailed and informative benefits information to all participants. Gisella also assists the Eligibility Team

    Gisella earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health from St. Mary’s College.

  • Julie supports the Controller by handling a wide range of the organization’s accounting transactions. She works closely with the eligibility team and serves as the primary point of contact for all questions related to group health plan invoices. In addition, Julie assists the CEO with member communications and marketing initiatives.

  • Now serving as an Account Manager, Delmi leverages her HR expertise to lead our customer service team and elevate the client experience. She oversees team interactions with members, participants, and providers, ensuring responsive and high-quality service. Delmi also coordinates open enrollment meetings and delivers bilingual benefits education, helping organizations effectively communicate and implement their benefits programs.

  • Audrey oversees the organization’s financial management, including accounting, reporting and internal controls. She also leads the eligibility department, ensuring accurate administration of member enrollment and related processes.

    Audrey partners closely with leadership to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Megan Schweiger

  • Megan helps keep the office running smoothly and is usually the first person you will meet when visiting our office or calling our main line. They help keep the office running smoothly. Megan also coordinates our scholarship program communications with applicants, the Selection Committee, and schools.

    Megan graduated from Hanover College of Indiana in 2025, majoring in Art+Design and Spanish.
